Volunteer Alberta’s members are proud to support volunteerism in their communities throughout the province. Rural, urban and
provincial organizations work together to ensure that the values and benefits of volunteerism in Alberta continue to grow and be
recognized as a powerful social investment.
Volunteer Alberta is a partner of the Alberta Nonprofit/Voluntary Sector Initiative (ANVSI). The initiative was created to develop a framework to strengthen the relationship between the sector and the government.
"Volunteer Alberta leads decision makers in the nonprofit/voluntary sector and encourages the three levels of government to modernize their understanding of volunteerism beyond the comfortable lens of motherhood and apple pie.
Volunteer Alberta's ability to implement solutions long needed by the sector is enhanced by its capacity to reflect the concerns and issues of both rural and urban Alberta communities. Your organization's membership with Volunteer Alberta strengthens our ability to reflect issues, trends, and solutions accurately."
-- Scott Lundell, Volunteer Alberta Past President
