VAULT was developed by Volunteer Alberta, with support from the Government of Alberta, exclusively for Managers of Volunteers in Alberta. After consultation with Volunteer Manager Groups across the province, it was identified that being able to connect and collaborate with each other, share resources and help establish best practices would be a valuable asset to the profession.
Engaging volunteers is not about competition for resources; it is about networking, sharing best practices and being aware of changing trends and practices in volunteer engagement. It is about practicing the highest standards of engagement for volunteers that create strong, vibrant and inclusive organizations and will move the profession of volunteer management to a whole new level!
Volunteer Alberta creates possibilities in the nonprofit/voluntary sector by strategically connecting leaders, members, organizations and networks. One way to do this is to focus on the need for strong leadership to engage volunteers towards the achievement of organizational missions. Volunteer Alberta, through a network of local Volunteer Centres, support Alberta's Managers of Volunteers as vital to enhancing both the quality and capacity of volunteerism in Alberta.
